Group EMAIL 9-24 LA!

Alright everyone. This week has been so awesome. So my companions name is Elder Thacker. He is from Logan area and in fact goes home at the end of this transfer, so our area is guaranteed to get whitewashed hahaha. We are currently working on Santa Monica College. I'm still a Chinese missionary which is awesome! It's funny because we go contacting and we just contact asians (if they aren't chinese we obviously keep talking to them and we don't randomly start speaking chinese to asians). It is really cool though.  We are currently teaching a few people. Three of them have baptismal dates, their names are qianqian, mike, and Tony. Tony has a wife also that we are working on. Mike has problems with word of wisdom. He didn't like it when we first taught it and it took a bit to explain it. Hopefully he follows it, he came to church yesterday though which was awesome. Qianqian loves everything about the gospel and kept the word of wisdom and it's really awesome. ...

GROUP EMAIL 9-10-2018 Travel plans?

Hello everyone, I hope you all have had a fantastic week First of all, I was challenged to put more effort into my weekly emails, so here goes nothing. I really suck at writing these though and nothing new happens but I can shishikan (try) This week was crazy! Well MTC crazy. Well, when I started, I didn't notice until I got to the part where I was supposed to say water. It is good thing I understood chinese because if I didn't nobody would have noticed lol. Our branch presidency doesn't speak any Chinese except for like hello, so yeah, that could have been bad. So yeah, go gift of tongues.  Anyways, another MTC crazy thing that happened this week was I wore the same tie every ...

This week wasn't exciting, just like every other week. We eat, go to class, and study chinese.  My chinese is coming along really well though. It is really exciting to see. I have definitely learned so much here and can hold a conversation with a native speaker pretty well, especially about the gospel. I am starting to learn the words I learned in high school again (I have to relearn them because I have no idea the tones on any of them, if you don't know what tones are, ask someone who does) so that is really exciting.  Me and Elder harmon have been trying to SYL a bunch. And we have done pretty well. I have learned a lot from just SYLing too, so that is also exciting.  Other than that though, nothing really exciting happened. We get our travel plans on Friday, that's really exciting. Also, there is one thing I wanted to say. One of my friends from elementary school and middle school is currently on a mission, he is in the Mexico MTC and Elder Bednar visited la...
